Hey Everyone,
Mtbr.com will be at Interbike with a pretty big crew this year. We’ve got a lot of exciting stuff planned, including the featured coverage we provide with our Virtual TradeShow Booths, which include video now, too.
In addition, we like to take suggestions and requests from you, the online mountain biking community, on what YOU would like to see from the show.
There’s plenty of exciting new stuff coming out, like the new 6″ travel bike from Pivot Cycles (called the Firestorm, I believe? Or is it Mach 6?) and industry news like Turner now using DW-link technology…the new Yumeya Gruppo from Shimano….
What rumors have YOU heard? What do you want us to take photos and/or videos of? (besides booth babes, of course!)
The Mtbr request line is OPEN! Let us know, please comment here.
Thanks,
-gregg, francis, adam and the Mtbr crew

i want to see it ALL
Hi Guys
Please can you keep a look out for the new Santa Cruz VP FREE or V8 as it may be called,
Many Thanks
Andy (in Hong Kong)
2007 Blur 4x
2004 VP Free
I’ve always liked Marin Bikes, I’d like to see their new race hardtails, I’ve heard rumors of Scandium frames!
I’d love to see coverage on the new HammerSchmidt and also on the new Turner bikes with the DW link.
New tires! New designs? New sizes for old favorites? Any movement towards “tubeless-ready” versus UST?
What’s cannondale cooking? What is with OPI versus the old SI?
How will they market the hammerschmidt AM when many AM bikes don’t have ISCG tabs? Adapters?
More pics and updates this year please! Last year had a bit lackluster coverage.
Thanks!
New Titus bikes – the X and the FTM will be at interbike , as well as ? new isogrid HT
Mucho pictures please
I’d like to find out if and when evil-bikes.com is coming back online. It has been too long and there’s not been any word about their shiz.
I’d also like to see some action shots of the new gearing system that Truvativ (SRAM) has developed–something in the form of a video would be nice.
Last but not least, if Dobermann Bikes is at this thing, see if you can get them to explain their badazz full suspension rig (pics. of it would be nice too).
Thanks.
P.S. Of course, if you forget to get pictures of the hot women then Interbike is pretty much not worth reading about guys–so remember that part of it (read: crucial)!
The 2009 Yeti lineup, specifically the 575 team color pictures. Also, new Fox and Marzocchi.
I would like to know why there are some well known brand names not shown in your list of “Virtual Tradeshow Booths”. Surely the likes of Intense and Manitou are going to be at Interbike? Not to mention the likes of Trek and Specialized. Is MtbReview reporting the news or only giving space to paying advertisers?
Hey Ronnie,
The Virtual Tradeshow Booths are featured content for manufacturers that pay, yes.
But, our coverage is by no means limited to just those manufacturers that sign up….far from it. Every year we ask what YOU want to see, regardless of whether the manufacturer is paying for a VTSB or not. We will be covering new stuff from Trek and Specialized also, if that’s what people want to see. Intense? For sure! Manitou? Well…what do YOU want to see from them? Let us know, specifically (which models), here.
Please please get a picture or two of the updated Salsa Dos Niner. Thanks
I’d love to see some up to date info on Spot Brand, specifically the Long Board and Black & Tan belt drive bikes.
Thanks!
Vassago Fisticuffs.
Santa Cruz needs to spill some info about the new VP-Free (V8). Apparently Steed Cycle at BC already has one for testing.
Also, Yeti’s new DH bike that the world cup team has been riding. Not the 303, but the prototype
I want to see details from:
Santa cruz
Yeti
Banshee
Turner
Fox
Rock Shox
you can skip the marzo booth, their stuff looks cheese.
I want to see a lot of pictures, video and dirt demo footage.
It’d be cool to have some MTBR guys interview guys from the shops that’ll be there during the outdoor demo.. see how they are liking the bikes etc.
just keep it simple. there are aolt of differnt styled mountain bikers so of course trying to capture a little of everthing would be great. i realy want to see covarge of more unknown names, like rst , i bought an rst space jump recently and was blown away at its performance. it feel just as good as any other big name dj fork for much cheeper.
Not sure if my alst one went thru, but the Rocky Altitude, Fox and Intense. Gracias!
I’d like to see the new ellsworth evolve.
The fox suspension lineup.
Some full suspension 650b rigs.
I would like to see some dirt demo footage and some first impressions about hammerschmidt, turner dw_link 5 spot, and new santa cruz nomad.
650b wheel bikes
TREK, Santa Cruz, Yeti , 2009 bikes
RACE FACE, BONTRAGER, FOX RACING SHOX products.
Steel and Titanium hardtail frames.
MORE BIKE Less Work
Rio de Janeiro – BRASIL
Commencal. Great bikes keep getting better.
Canfield bikes
I’d like dirt demo info on the new dw-link turners, especially the 5-spot.
Fox F29 fork, Rock Shox Reba Team 29er fork (hopefully with U-Turn)
I want to see a Truvativ HammerSchmidt crankset on a Santa Cruz V-10.
I want to see more info on the Giant Trance – Specialized FSR hybrid, the Rocky Mountain Altitude.
I want to know the latest and greatest regarding night riding lights. HID vs. LED, where the future is going. Who has the best out there regarding both light sources (HID & LED classes.) Best buys in different price breakdowns based on quality and dependability.
Thanks and have fun out there.
I would LOVE to see the new Evil bikes.
And possibly a ride report on the new Pivot Firebird?
Thanks for all the great suggestions, guys. We’ve got plenty to cover and we’ll do our best to fulfull as many of these as we can. I’m gonna close the request line at this time.
Interbike Day 1 is over and we have some photos in the gallery and there are several articles up in the Interbike main page here:
